The “bear” will remain open for trading.
FX has renewed its popular half-hour series starring Jeremy Allen White for a third season.
Season 2 of “The Bear” followed Carmy (White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they tried to transform their dingy sandwich joint into the next level of fine dining. The cast also includes Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott and Matty Matheson.
Chris Storer created “The Bear” and serves as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo, Super Frog’s Hiro Murai, Josh Senior and Matheson. Tyson Bidner serves as executive producer and FX Productions is producing the series.
“The Bear” was a surprise success for FX and received critical acclaim when it debuted on Hulu in 2022. Season 1 has pending Emmy nominations, including outstanding comedy series; lead comedy actor; supporting comedy actor and actress; and comedy writing and directing.
“‘The Bear’ has become a cultural phenomenon, captivating audiences in its first season and achieving even greater success in its second season,” said Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment. “We are proud to be working with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior and the rest of the creative team, as well as the amazing cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the team have done is truly remarkable; “We and our partners at Hulu stand with fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter of ‘The Bear’ story.”
