Lovelorn? Cool off with a personalized poop gram that benefits animals – Chicago Tribune

If your current or ex is leaving you down in the dumps this Valentine’s Day season, a local business has a chance to relieve yourself of the burden.

Region Scoopers Dog Waste Removal in Crown Point has teamed up with the Humane Society of Hobart Inc. to remind you just how stinky your ex is via poop grams. President Scooper John Noonan says for $5 per poop, you can submit your stinky pet’s name and Region Scoopers will put your name on a new hand-picked deposit for Valentine’s Day.

Noonan said that although they won’t deliver the stacks to the person you hate, they will take a photo of it and send it to you to enjoy forever. What you decide to do with it later is up to you.

“It’s a small price to pay,” Noonan said.

Noonan, a construction worker who initially founded Region Scoopers as a side hustle before delving full-time following a work accident, came up with the idea for Poo-grams after seeing something similar online. He restructured his idea and then decided what better way to celebrate than to help one of his favorite causes.

“They do so much out there and deserve all the love, so I know it will serve a good purpose,” he said. “And really, who wouldn’t want to send (a poop pic) to their ex?”

More than 50 people have donated two to five people at the fundraiser so far, Noonan said, and he expects more before Feb. 13. If you don’t have a chatty friend who deserves a pile, you can tell the Indiana General Assembly how you feel about what’s going on this session; just like a customer did when he grabbed a large bag and asked Noonan to write. He stated that it said “HB 1412” for the Puppy Mill bill and shared it on his social media page.

“We haven’t experienced anything too crazy yet, but this is everything I can fit in the bag and the sky’s the limit on bags,” he said.

To provide a Poo-Gram, those interested can send $5 with the donor’s name and phone number to paypal.me/regionscoopers or CashApp: $RegionScoopers no later than February 13 and your picture will be sent within 48 hours, Noonan said.
