A 27-year-old man was stabbed overnight during an attempted armed robbery in the Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 11:45 p.m., a man was walking in the first block of South State Street when a robber approached on foot and tried to take his purse. Police said that after a fight broke out, the robber took out a knife and cut the victim.
It was learned that the man, who was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital due to his leg injury, was in good condition.
