Originally created to boost morale during the Great Depression, the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade is celebrating its 89th anniversary with a parade. various entertainment including performances, marching bands, equestrian groups, floats and more staged along a half-mile route.
Co-hosts Jen Lilley and Jesse Hutch will also be joined by guests of honor avery r. youthChicago’s poet laureate.

Route: Ida B. Wells Drive to State Street northbound Randolph Street
Helium-filled balloons are back: Watch for their “limbo” under the “L” tracks near the Harold Washington Library Center.
Expect a dry, partly sunny day on Thursday; Highs will be in the upper 40s and lows will be in the 30s and 20s.
