Originally created to boost morale during the Great Depression, the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade is celebrating its 89th anniversary with a parade. various entertainment including performances, marching bands, equestrian groups, floats and more staged along a half-mile route.
Co-hosts Jen Lilley and Jesse Hutch will also be joined by guests of honor avery r. youthChicago’s poet laureate.
