The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office in Florida confirmed his death, saying it was from natural causes, but authorities were unable to say when he died. He was 69 years old.
Morgan, who grew up in Chicago, first gained attention as a model appearing in commercials for the Irish Spring soap.
He made his feature film debut in the raunchy hit comedy “Caddyshack” in 1980. In the film, opposite Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield, she played Lacey Underall, the bombshell niece of a judge and country club founder, played by Ted Knight. Directed by Harold Ramis, the film was Morgan’s film debut.
“This was the longest and best party I’ve ever been to,” he said of his experience. In interviews, Morgan also claimed that the film’s producer, Jon Peters, tried to pressure her to pose for Playboy; resisted.
In 1982, he starred in the cult science fiction film “Tron”, which brought groundbreaking video game visuals to the big screen. Morgan played both a computer programmer named Lora and a digital counterpart named Yori.
He also had many guest roles on TV, including “Matlock”, “Falcon Crest”, “CHiPs” and “The Larry Sanders Show”. Morgan also appeared regularly at fan conventions where fans would admire him and his two best-known roles.
“You’d see the guys coming over to talk to Lacey Underall, but then they turned into that 14-year-old kid… actually very sweet, charming,” he said.
