Def Leppard, Journey announce summer 2024 tour with date in Chicago

both Def Leppard and Journey will take their music to the road when the two rock bands reunite for a joint summer tour next year.

Grammy-nominated rock bands announced There will be more than 20 shows on Thursday — including one at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The 2024 tour will begin on July 6 in St. They will start with a concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Joining the groups at various shows will be the Steve Miller Band, Heart and Cheap Trick.

The Def Leppard-Journey tour is currently set to end on September 8 at Denver’s Coors Field. It’s unclear if the bands will add additional tour dates.

“We will be hitting the stage with a brand new stage show and a set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history,” Def Leppard lead vocalist Joe Elliott said in a statement posted on the Journey website. “We might even have a surprise or two in store… so would you like to join us???! … See you in the summer!”

Rock fans can sign up for ticket presale online. Tickets will go on pre-sale Tuesday at 12pm CT. General tickets will go on sale on December 15.

Def Leppard, the “Pour Some Sugar on Me” band consisting of bassist Rick Savage, drummer Rick Allen and guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, spent most of 2023 on the road with their world tour. This year, the band performed a few shows in South America, Europe, Asia, and even the United States. Mötley Crüe also performed multiple shows with Def Leppard, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.

Even before the joint summer tour begins next year, Journey will embark on a tour of its own in the United States. In September, the band “Don’t Stop Believin'”, who is also a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, announced 50th anniversary tour. Journey will celebrate its milestone year nationwide starting February 9, 2024. They will be joined by “Africa” band Toto.

“We are excited to be back on the road with many good friends in 2024 as part of this tour. No matter what city you come to, this will be an amazing night of music!” Journey said in a press release.
