Des Plaines police respond to standoff

Des Plaines police responded to an armed suspect who barricaded himself in a vehicle at an intersection Sunday morning, authorities said.

The suspect was at the intersection of Touhy Boulevard and Lee Street.

The police made the first post about the incident on Facebook at 8.20 in the morning. A few hours later, police said the incident was “concluded.”

It is not yet known whether the suspect is in custody.
