At least four people were shot, one fatally, in the Chatham neighborhood Sunday night, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
This marked the second mass shooting of the day in as many hours. Two men opened fire on a group of people at a park in the Rogers Park neighborhoodHe killed one and injured three.
In the latest shooting, officers and paramedics responded to the 8000 block of South Vincennes Boulevard on the city’s South Side around 7:30 p.m.
A CFD spokesman said one person was found dead on arrival and three others were reported to be in critical condition. Two of the victims were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and one was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
