A Hammond man was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison as part of a plea deal for inappropriately touching two teenage girls.

Chase C. Armstrong, 22, pleaded guilty Feb. 13 to two counts of Level 4 felony child abuse. He must register as a sex offender.

Court documents state the harassment occurred from April 2022 to August 2023. Armstrong admitted that he would pretend to hug a girl before harassing her. He targeted the boy he called “the sweetest, friendliest” boy.

He “hugged” the other victim before touching him inappropriately.
