MIAMI — Taylor Swift was born in 1989. Travis Kelce wears jersey number 87.

American Airlines and United Airlines noticed this.

Whether you’re a Swiftie or a member of Chiefs Kingdom, if you need flights from Kansas City to Las Vegas to the Super Bowl on February 11, a few flight numbers might catch your eye.

American’s Flight 1989 is scheduled to operate twice from Kansas City to Las Vegas on February 9 and February 10, both departing at 12:30 local time. Following the game, Flight 87 leaves Las Vegas for Kansas City at 12:20 local time on February 12.

These are not regularly scheduled flights either.

“After tonight’s games, you can tell we have entered the age of football and we are excited to provide additional direct flights from Kansas City to Las Vegas,” American Airlines said in a statement sent to the Associated Press. “Look at our big sports fan customers, what you made us do.”

Swift and Kelce weren’t the only ones with flight numbers anymore. There are three Flight 15 offerings, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ jersey. Flight 15 from Kansas City to Las Vegas is on February 8. The same flight number, this time from Vegas to Kansas City, is offered on February 12 and February 13.

There is also Flight 1521, which combines the numbers of Mahomes and safety Mike Edwards. This time he was running from Kansas City to Las Vegas.

United Airlines also added a flight from Kansas City to Las Vegas in 1989 and added separate connecting flights to Kelce and the 49ers.
