One teenager is dead and another is recovering from his injuries following a stabbing in Chicago Heights Monday afternoon, according to the Chicago Heights Police Department and the Cook County coroner’s office.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Hanover Street at 3:50 p.m. Monday after receiving calls about a disturbance, the department said in a statement. David Sanchez, 13, and another boy, 14, appeared to have stab wounds, the department said, but no further information about the injuries was immediately available.
