A 25-year-old man was injured in an overnight shooting on the South Side in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago police said.
At about 10 p.m., the victim was walking in the 7000 block of South Jeffery Boulevard when he heard gunshots and felt pain. Police said that the person injured in his ankles was in serious condition and was taken to a local hospital.
There was no one in custody and detectives were investigating.
