A free seminar, “The Truth About Coping with Alzheimer’s: Navigating Home, Health, and Hope,” will be held March 28 at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane.
According to the press release, the seminar presented by the Empowered Truth Series will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Pollak Room.
The informational event is designed to provide information and strategies to overcome the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease with grace, foresight and courage, the statement said. It will follow retired teacher Karen Craig, who will share her journey of caring for her father.
Attendees will gain valuable insight from Karen’s experiences and interact with industry professionals who will offer guidance and expertise in dealing with the complexities of Alzheimer’s disease, the release said.
According to the release, featured speakers will include Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist Jennifer Wilson-Binotti, PsyD, of Compassionate Neuropsychology, LLC, and Krista Williams, Director of Activities and Memory Care at Belmont Village Senior Living.
