Vin Diesel accused of sexual misconduct by former assistant

“Fast and Furious” star Vin Diesel was accused by his former assistant of sexual misconduct while she was working for him in 2010.

Astra Jonasson filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Thursday, alleging that Diesel forcibly assaulted her in an Atlanta hotel room. The lawsuit alleges that Diesel tried to flee the room after being forced onto her bed, but the actor moved toward her, then groped her breasts and kissed her breast.

Diesel tried to take off his underwear, causing him to scream as he ran towards the nearby bathroom. He eventually forced her to touch his erect penis and began masturbating, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit stated that Jonasson closed his eyes and wished for the attack to end because he was afraid of angering Diesel further.

Jonasson was fired hours later by Diesel’s sister Samantha Vincent, who is also the president of One Race Productions.

The lawsuit stated that Jonasson felt like a “piece of garbage” and that his self-confidence was “destroyed.”

“It was clear to her that Vin Diesel was using her to satisfy his sexual desires and that she was fired because she was no longer useful because she resisted his sexual assaults,” the lawsuit stated.

Jonasson is suing Diesel and his company for creating a hostile work environment, negligent supervision and wrongful termination, among other claims.

Representatives for Diesel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Jonasson’s lawyer, Claire-Lise Kutlay, said in a statement that her client’s lawsuit aims to hold Diesel and “those who authorized and covered up the sexual assault accountable for their horrific actions.”

“Employers need to protect and defend people who speak out about sexual assault and harassment,” Kutlay said. “We hope Ms. Jonasson’s courageous decision to come forward will help create lasting change and empower other survivors.”

Diesel has been playing the role of Dominic Toretto since the opening film of the “Fast and Furious” franchise in 2001. The films earned huge revenues at the domestic and international box office; the last two films grossed more than $1 billion each.

At the beginning of this year, the tenth movie of the series, “Fast X” starring Diesel, opened with ticket sales of $67.5 million.
