FAA gives Boeing 90 days to prepare safety plan

(CNN) — The Federal Aviation Administration said Wednesday that Boeing must develop a plan to resolve serious quality and safety issues within 90 days.

The agency said FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker and Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun held a one-day meeting on Tuesday in which Whitaker made the request.

That meeting came a day after a year-long investigation commissioned by the FAA found a “disconnect” between Boeing executives and employees on safety, saying: employees fear reassignment or career development stalling To report security issues.
